Need Some Good Recommendations!

If any of you could be so kind, I need some referrals for the two things below. I would love to hear your feedback.

1. A new YouTube beauty guru to watch. I've grown bored with my current subscription list especially when they haven't posted new videos in a while and I have to go search for new people to watch! If you could possibly let me know some of your favorites, I prefer the guru to be 25 and over (no teens living at home spending mommy and daddy's money! Can't relate!) and I don't like them to be too "famous" with a gazillion sponsored videos, and I do not like videos that are really edited with voice overs, cutesy graphics, or a lot of music. I like good ole' natural talking in front of the camera. To get an idea of who I like, I enjoy down to earth girls like MakeupByTiffanyD, LisaLisaD1, TheBombshellSuite, or EmilyNoel83 (minus the heavy editing).

2. I need a good eye cream that helps with crepey-ness on the eyelids. I'm starting to notice that my eyeliner is not applying as smooth as it once did and my skin feels thinner up there. Let me tell you, this is not an experience I am enjoying. I've been using Bobbi Brown Extra Repair which I love but I don't think it has that crepe-fighting quality I'm looking for. Oh, and I want something SUPER hydrating and not really fragrant. So to summarize, really hydrating & fights crepey lids. I don't mind thick creams either!

Hope to get some feedback. Or at least someone can leave me a comment to make it look like someone cares about my concerns.

  2. Here are my favourites! They are all makeup artists.

I love gossmakeupartist! I rally like the makeup tips he gives.
I also like watching pixiwoo, their tutorials are great.
Last but not least, lisaeldridgedotcom, who is sponsored by Chanel, but don't worry, she doesn't post sponsored videos on her channel. She does makeup for Elle, Vogue and other fancy magazines and then she shows how she did celebrities' makeup for their photoshoots.

These are my top 3, I hope you like them!

    1. Thank you Catarina, I already subscribe to all of them and love them all!! I've been watching Pixiwoo forever and just starting watching Goss about a month ago.. adore Lisa Eldridge, she is so addicting to watch! Funny how these are the really talented artists and they don't do even a fraction of how many sponsored videos the young "non makeup artist" girls do.. those get so annoying! Thank you for commenting!

  4. Hi there,
I am really enjoying your blogs! thanks for all the time and information you give.
I was thinking about the eye creams and was wondering if you looked at Paula's choice line for that cause I saw that you love her BHA. Paula believes that the eye area is not different from the rest of the face and therefore should be able to use your moisturizer on your eye area. And that is why you don't see eye creams on her site. She explains this much better then i do. lol
Also, a couple of youtubers I check out are themakeupchair and broadcastbeauty. Not sure if you have seen them.
    Keep up the good work!
    Tracy :)

    1. Hi Tracy, thanks for your nice and helpful comments and for reading my blog! Very interesting about Paula's views on eye cream, i've always used my face moisturizer around my eyes and an eye cream in addition because most of my eye creams don't have SPF. I haven't watched those YT girls you've mentioned so I will add them to the list, thanks a bunch for your input! Stop back soon! :)
