It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product:
Two of the products I purchased today from Wal Mart are hair care items that I have heard so many good things about, and ones I've been dying to try. One of the products, It's a 10 leave in conditioner, is one that I've tried before but have no real recollection of its performance or even what I thought of it at all. I blame this memory lapse on the fact that I used it in the last month of my second pregnancy and I don't remember much of what I thought of anything at that time except that I hated fixing my hair or anything else that recquired even the slightest bit of physical exertion. So, we will call that forgetable experience a trial period that wasn't an accurate representation of the product. And besides, my hair is totally different when I'm pregnant, sometimes its better and sometimes its worse. Which led me to repurchase the highly regarded, fairly expensive, leave in conditioning product. The salon at Wal Mart is probably the best place to get it though and the big bottle runs $29.95. I know, I know, what a deal (eye roll). I've heard that this stuff makes your hair very soft and does wonders for your ends. I hope and pray that I agree because my hair needs a serious drink of something.

** It's a 10 has also released its newest version of the same product but infused with Keratin. I was told by the stylist that if you use too much Keratin, such as every day, it can break your hair off because Keratin is a protein and too much of it or too little of it is just not good. Her suggestion was to alternate the regular version with the new one, therefor purchasing both products. My suggestion was to have a buy one get one free sale becasue I just paid $30 for a conditioner and wasn't about to pay another $20 for a small bottle of the new stuff.***
Big Sexy Spray and Play Hairspray:
Which brings me to my next purchase Big Sexy Spray and Play Hairspray. I've heard great things about this volumizing hair spray and I wanted to try it out by purchasing the travel size. I have also heard that Big Sexy's Spray and Play Harder is even more amazing. I can already say that I totally love the version that I purchased for $5.95 (small little purse size). I want my hairspray to be able to hold a curl and not simply be a fine mist or one with absolutely no stiffness to it. I'm not saying I want it to mimic something like AquaNet Super Extra Concrete Hold but I do need a little stiffness. The feel of this hair spray is pretty much perfect. It gives you the confidence that your hair will stay put without making it hard or dry to the touch. Also, if you do the good old-fashioned and fail proof head flip and spray a good healthy dose underneath, you will have some serious bounce and mega-volume. Personally I liked how it performed when I just used it to curl my hair with my 1.5 inch barrel curling iron. The way I've seen other women use it is by lifting a section at a time and spraying a little underneath to give some pretty impressive lift! And these girls had some super thick hair. Mine is as light and as frail as a feather blowing around in the wind and so it doesn't take too much to take it to new heights. Will most definitely repurchase in the full size and will try to track down a trial size in the Spray and Play Harder.
L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick: Tropical Coral
Lastly, I wanted a coral lipstick. Coral is the IT color this season whether it be on the lips, the feet, the body, etc. I am a huge fan of all things peach and most of my lipsticks represent this shade in some way or another and therefor it wasn't much of a stretch for me to delve into the Coral family. Having decided not to purchase the Ever Hip coral lipstick from the MAC Fashionflower collection (a repromote from the Liberty of London collection), I was still reeling from the regret when I went to buy a cheaper rendition at Wal Mart. I knew I wanted something from L'Oreal because I happen to think their lipsticks are best compared to other brands of its kind. I instantly found what I was looking for from L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Tropical Coral. By no means is it a bright coral so there is no need to be afraid. It's a very wearable and natural shade and a great alternative to a typical nude or pink lip. Its more of a mid-toned coral and would look especially beautiful on darker skin tones. The Color Riche formula is very creamy and the color pigmentation is excellent. I have heard others say they think the formula is drying and that they don't like the fragrance but I happen to like it and it brings back memories of my first time buying one of them. I have super dry skin and need lip balm 24/7 and I don't agree. However, you may want to take into consideration wearing a lip balm.
Ahhh, L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick.. we go way back. This was my first "grown up" lipstick that I purchased when I was around 13 or 14. It was only the beginning to my dark lipstick phase that lasted for years. My entry-level color was Brazil Nut and they make it to this day. I appreciate that they've kept the same formula, gold packaging, and fragrance of long ago. I'm also impressed that a certain line of lipsticks from any drugstore brand would have stuck around this long. That is really saying something. Bravo L'Oreal.
Other Good Coral Lipsticks?
If you're feeling frisky and want to try another shade of coral if this one doesn't do it for ya, try Ravishing by MAC. I'm fairly certain this is a Cremesheen formula and its totally beautiful. It is a brighter coral than Tropical Coral and it looks so good on tanned (self-tanned preferably to save some sun damage) skin in the summertime. And you can't go wrong with Revlon Colorburst lipstick in shade: Coral. If you follow my blog somewhat regularly, you know how I feel about the Colorbursts. So creamy and comfortable to wear while providing excellent color pay-off. And if any of these just happen to be a tinge too bright, you can always always play it down with a safer shade. In fact, makeup artists rarely just use one shade on the lips but rather, they prefer a mixture of various shades. In summary, I love coral. It is just an instant mood booster and brings any outfit or makeup look to life.
